One of my favourite places to paint is near the sea. I make regular painting jaunts to the South Coast of England, namely Dorset and Hampshire.
Whether strolling in Gunnersbury Park in west London, or viewing the neighbourhood from my studio in Shepherds Bush, London offers rich and everchanging inspiration.
These are paintings directly painted from or after some of the artists that I admire and use these studies of their works to inform my own paintings. Macke, Corot, Derain.
I have made paintings based on frequent visits to San Diego California. The primary purpose of the visits was family, but there is always time for some sketching.
Trying out new media and subject matter, although landscape is still the main inspiration.
